Jennifer Gilstrap - Liberty County Pre-K Center

Many factors influenced me to become a teacher, but the one that stands out among the rest is my love for children. My first teaching position was at Button Gwinnett Elementary School. Since that time, many of those first year students have gone on to enter college and join the workforce as adults. It is a rewarding feeling knowing that at one time I was an influential person in their lives.

My greatest contribution to teaching is the fact that I am committed to doing my best for each of the children in my class and that I work hard to ensure that they are given a quality education. I feel that I am patient and kind and that I treat my students as I would my own children. My job is really not a separate part of my life. It is a very big part of my life and the children I teach are important to me. I care what happens to them when they are in my classroom as well as when they go home.
