Melissa Aspinwall - Taylors Creek Elementary School
My love for children began at a very young age and continues today. Growing up, my mother had a daycare service in our home and I admired her dedication to our family and to those children that she welcomed into our lives. She cared for them as if they were her own. As an adult with children of my own, I think my childhood experiences and my experiences as a mom led me to become a professional educator. I am a very compassionate person and my enthusiasm for teaching also contributed to my passion for teaching.
I have high expectations for all of my students. I am willing to incorporate new strategies and technology to assist the student learning process and to ensure success not only today, but tomorrow as well. My contributions to education are evident through the activities, memberships, training and awards in which I have been involved. My greatest contributions occur daily, many times over.
